| The Company's History |
Westair has been in operation for more than three
decades. Westair Aviation (Pty) Ltd is founded in 1967. With thorough
and conscientious aircraft maintenance the company swiftly acquires
an excellent reputation in aviation circles. After opening a branch
in Swakopmund (2002) and merging with Comav Maintenance (2003), Westair
Maintenance (Pty) Ltd (under this new name) - has advanced to the
leading aircraft maintenance facility in Namibia. The secret of success lies in the group's muscle. Westair Wings Charters has a large fleet of company owned aircraft at its disposal. Since 2003 the fleet is registered in the name of Westair Aviation (Pty) Ltd and maintained by the sister company Westair Maintenance (Pty) Ltd. In order to guarantee maximum flight safety, the aircraft continuously undergo routine inspections. In addition, pilots regularly improve their skills through further training, which brought about the founding of the Westair Flight Training Academy in 2002.
